First Goddess Formed

Evollanraca – Goddess of lust and beauty emerged in the eruption of a great volcano on the sea’s floor. She was said to be of a magnificent splendor such that the beauty of her pure form could cause nymphs to cry. She emerged with the power to shape shift and to move at tremendous speed. She was said to be mischievous as she was able to control almost any being just by showing herself to them in a form that invoked the most powerful lusting sensation. Evollanraca ruined the lives of many a being just by revealing herself to them, she knew her power and was said to abuse it till she found Norki.

First God Formed

Norki – God of earth and sky; he emerged from where the earth met the sky. He was said to be controller of both these entities and to have a figure so imposing it struck obedience into everything that lay eyes on him. He emerged with incredible powers; he had super human strength and could mold and merge the earth and sky. He would eventually meet his other half Evollanraca and begin to settle down.

Second Goddess Formed

Yenommai – Goddess of wealth and luck she was born from the union of Norki and Evollanraca. She was said to be kind and the polar opposite of her mother. Her specialty was to bring luck and consequently wealth to whomever she touched. She also had extreme speed and was able to see into the lives of people.

Second God Formed

Xindiov – God of death and destruction and second child of Norki and Evollanraca. He looked up to his older sister because she was so fortunate. He was a pessimist like his mother but enjoyed not only creating discord in the lives of people but also liked to make them suffer. He liked to watch the grievous suffering and mental distress of a family when he pulled the life out of one of their loved ones. He is the most feared of the gods due to his ability to take the form of a human and extract someone’s soul just by coming in contact with them. His power is feared even more so because of his ability to rid something of existence, making as though it had never existed in the first place.

My mythology - Part 1 Explanation

My mythology is a conglomerate of many. I am what could be called a mutt I have many different cultural aspects and I do not identify with any in particular. But if I am forced to I would normally think of Italian / roman due to my Christmas traditions but considering that for this specific topic my target audience is not fond of roman I decided to go a second route. I chose Irish / Celtic; I decided this was a good choice because for some odd reason and occurrence of events my family has come about celebrating St. Patrick day multiple times during the month of March.

My mythology - Part 2 Deities

There are many Celtic gods. A few of them are Balor, Crom-Cruaich, Dagda, Danu and the Tuatha-De-Danann

Balor – is the Celtic god of death and evil King of the Fomorians. He had one eye that kill someone by looking at them and it was prophesized to be killed by his grandson. Though he took precautions he was still killed by his grandson.

Crom-Cruaich – “lord of the mound” is Chief god of Ireland. Many children every year were sacrificed to him in order to bring good crop harvests that year. He was represented by a large stone pillar till St. Patrick put an end to it.

Dagda - God of War, Life, Banquets, Death, War and Magic. He was said to have a cauldron of infinite food and a massive club that could kill with one end and give life with the other. He is the ruler of the Tuatha-De-Danann
Danu –Mother and daughter of Dagda she is the goddess of wind, fertility and wisdom. Dagda is also the mother goddess from whom other gods came.

Tuatha-De-Danann – is a grouping of Irish gods that are children of Danu and are said to have traveled to Ireland from the western isles on a cloud

My mythology - Part 3 Philosophers

Though there are quite a few Irish philosophers I will just name a few.

Augustine Eriugena – is the developer of natural philosophy which later developed into natural sciences such as physics.

William Thompson – wrote critically on the idea of capitalism and led to influence later philosophers such as Karl Marx.

My mythology - Part 4 Arts

Artists and Musicians

Hugh Douglas Hamilton – was a painter whom eventually painted many of Ireland’s important historical figures during his time.

Patrick MacDowell – was an acclaimed sculptor during his time and made such sculptures as Europe, for the Albert Memorial.

Irish musicians like Sir James Galway flute and whistle player seems to have its own distinctive feel. Irish / Celtic music is probably the most intact of all music. On the other hand Irish music also contains a great deal of Irish drinking songs

My mythology - Part 5 history

As far as Irish history is concerned there are a lot of them but above all others stand St. Patrick.

St. Patrick though not actually Irish but Roman-British was a Catholic missionary to Ireland and became its Patron Saint. St Patrick helped to form Ireland as it is today he broke down savage sacrificial events as well as other immoral activities such can be interpreted as the old legend that he drove the snakes out of Ireland.
